南方海洋科学与工程广东省实验室（湛江）简介

 南方海洋科学与工程广东省实验室（湛江），简称:湛江湾实验室，是广东省政府启动建设的第二批广东省实验室。以湛江市政府作为建设主体，依托中国船舶集团有限公司、中国海洋石油集团有限公司、广东海洋大学和广东医科大学等单位共同建设。选址于湛江国家高新区海东园区龙王湾片区，规划面积约2000亩，一期项目总投资约50亿元。布局系列海洋功能研究中心、大型科学装置、公共服务平台、海上试验场等。研究领域重点突出深海装备，海洋牧场，海洋绿色能源，智能船舶和海洋大数据等方向，力争建成具有国际和国内重大影响力的一流海洋创新高地。

Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhanjiang), or Zhanjiang Bay Laboratory for short, is one of the second batch of Guangdong Provincial Laboratories launched by Guangdong Provincial Government.

Zhanjiang Municipal Government is the main body of the Lab, and China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and  Guangdong Ocean University and Guangdong Medical University also supply important supports during the co-construction. Longwang Bay area has been selected as the location of the Lab, which is within Haidong Park, Zhanjiang National High-tech Zone. The planned area covers about 2,000 mu , and a total investment of about RMB 5 billion yuan for the first phase of the project is arranged for the establishment of a series of marine science research centers, large-scale scientific equipment, public service platforms, and sea trial range, etc.

The research fields of the Lab  include marine equipment, marine energy, and marine biology, etc., in which emphasis are on deep-sea marine equipment, marine ranching, and military-civilian integration. The goal of the Lab is to become one of the first-class marine science innovation centers with international reputation.
